Thank you for your dedication and support!
Chair: My name is Kelly Eckardt and I am the current chair of our parent council. My family and I are entering our 8th year at Notre Dame & I have served on council for 7, including 2 years as vice chair.

During my time as chair & vice chair, I have been blessed to organized the many traditions our children look forward to including our annual Santa visit/Christmas cookie giveaway, family skate night, mental health presentations, introduction to karate, dance, yoga & much more.
I’m also grateful to be apart of our many initiatives such as the addition of electronics, 4 new filtered water bottle filling stations in our school, yard improvements as well as the implementation of our “angel bin” full of brand new hats & mitts for kids who have lost or forgotten their own during the cold winter months.
The past 3 years I have also helped organize & facilitate our annual Halloween dance-a-thon fundraisers as well as created some sub committees such as our budget community, volunteer committee & grants committee to better help our school.
I am honoured to work with such an amazing group of parents to identify & respond to our schools needs as well as help make our children’s overall experience at Notre Dame both a positive & memorable one.
I look forward to continuing to serve our parent community, council, students and school with inclusiveness, kindness and open communication as I believe we are better together!“

Vice-Chair: I have been a parent at Notre Dame for the last 7 years, joining the CSC 2 years ago. Last year I was elected Vice Chair. I enjoyed participating and helped organize many events at the school such as the Halloween Dance, Jingle Day at school, Pancake Tuesday as well as helped run and organize the school’s hot lunch program. I was also involved in the Sub-Finance committee, preparing the CSC budget last year. I would love the opportunity to continue to work with the wonderful staff at Notre Dame as well as the amazing parent community to advocate for our children and make their education experience a great one. I would be happy to fill the role of Vice Chair again this year. Thank you. Melissa Tantalo

Treasurer: I have been on the Parent Council for six years now.  When my twins entered Kindergarten I wanted to feel apart of the school community and I shortly found out that Parent Council was the perfect fit.It has given me the opportunity to get to know the staff and feel that my voice is part of the growth at Notre Dame CES.  I have four children currently enrolled within the school, JK, Grade 2, and Twins in Grade 5.    Having children in all grade levels gives me the opportunity to understand what the needs and wants are fairly across the grade levels.I have over 20 years of accounting experience and this is why I took the role on five years ago as Treasurer for the School when the role became vacant.I look forward to another great year with council and as Treasurer. Heather Jannaway

Secretary: I have served on the Council as Secretary for the past 3 years, and would like to continue to serve in this capacity. Over the past 3 years I have helped out at the annual school Pancake Day, fall/spring garden cleanups, securing a grant from my workplace for the ND Robotics team in 2019 and served on the Finance subcommittee to prepare the annual council budget.

Our family has been part of the Notre Dame Community since 2016 and I have 2 children at the school in Grade 3 and Grade 5. Magdalena  Schlegel
