The Scholastic Book Fair is returning to Notre Dame! During Catholic Education Week, the Library will be transformed into an in-person Book Fair!
The Book Fair will run Monday, May 2nd to Friday, May 6th in the Library during school hours.
A wonderful way to support reading efforts and literacy at Notre Dame is by having your child(ren) visit the Book Fair and purchase quality reading material. Many different kinds of books will be available for purchase, including; picture books, chapter books, non-fiction books, graphic novels, teen books, etc.
Classes are scheduled to visit the Book Fair. Primary and Junior classes will be visiting twice – a viewing time and a buying time. Unfortunately, parents are not permitted to visit the Fair at this time due to the ongoing pandemic, according to the school re-entry plan.
We have a virtual component to this Fair as well (a unique Shopify link) and you can certainly view and purchase books using this link (which will go live on May 2nd) as well:

There will be a Family Draw Bonus Prize, where one student will win $25 in books and their Teacher will win $25 in books for their classroom. Entry forms are found when the students visit the Fair and at the back of student brochures, which will be handed out to students the week of April 25th and/or when they visit the Fair. The draw will take place Thursday, May 5th and the winning student and teacher will be announced on the morning announcements.
A limited number of parent volunteers are needed to assist with this event. If you are available to help on Tuesday, May 3, Wednesday, May 4, or Thursday May 5), please contact the office and indicate the date you would like to help out and whether you can help in the morning (8:30-11:00 am) or afternoon (12:15-2:50 pm) along with your name and phone number. Ms. Konecny, our Teacher-Librarian, will call you back to confirm.
Your support of the Book Fair can help your child and their classroom blossom with new and exciting adventures in reading!
