Notre Dame Second Annual Spelling Bee Results

On Friday, February 7th, Notre Dame hosted its second annual Spelling Bee! Students from grades 3-6 competed in the competition – they studied over 200 words from Scripps National Spelling Bee Competitions from three different levels (primary, junior and intermediate). They showed courage, confidence and determination on the gym stage.
Congratulations to grade 3 student Savino F. who came in 1st place and won a $50 gift card. Congratulations to Matthew F. a grade 5 student who came in 2nd place winning a $30 gift card and Leo M. a grade 4 student who came in 3rd place winning a $25 gift card. Students who came in 4th, 5th and 6th are: Elisa C., Sasha H., and Melia d. These top six students will represent Notre Dame at the Regional Spelling Bee Competition on March 25th at Pope Francis School. Congratulations to all the spelling bee winners!
Thank you to Mr. Foster for helping to set up the gym, the tech crew for setting up the microphones and managing the technology, and to our spelling bee coaches; Ms. Lupo, Ms. Boutsis, Mr. Gabriele, Ms. Dumont, Ms. Iannello, Ms. Pinheiro, and Ms. Konecny for coaching the students these past few months.
